Taggia

Taggia

Strictly speaking this town is split into two, Arma is the modern seaside resort while medieval Taggia is a very old historical town which is worth spending some time to soak up the atmosphere walking through the ancient arches & taking a look at the shops & bars some of which go back hundreds of years.

´┐╝Opposite the bridge is an olive oil making business, during the autumn people bring their olives down here where they are made into oil, it is worth taking a look inside to watch this fascinating experience.

There is a medieval footbridge over the river which used to allow traders with mules to enter the town from the hills
